Steven Boyd

Executive Consultant

After studying at Memorial University in Newfoundland and gaining experience in the financial industry, Steve began his career with IG Wealth Management in 1987. As some of you may remember, in October 1987 Black Monday occurred and stock markets around the world crashed. Steve has embraced that experience and considers it one of the strongest learning curves of his career.

Steve supports and participates in numerous IG Wealth Management sponsored events throughout the year, such as the IG Walk for Alzheimer’s. He has also become a large supporter of a local charity, The Single Parents Association of Newfoundland and Labrador. Their objective is to provide support for single parents, enabling them to regain control over their lives for the empowerment of themselves and their children.

In his free time, Steve can be found at his cottage around the bay on his snowmobile or all-terrain vehicle. He enjoys fishing, hunting and anything else the outdoor life offers.

Karen Elliot

Associate Consultant

Karen joined IG Wealth Management in April 2015. Prior to working at IG, she was an Investigator with the Office of the Citizens Representative, the provincial Ombudsman. She has a Paralegal background, which helps to ensure our team remains compliant with our company, federal, and provincial rules and regulations. She also assists in the preparation of client IG Living Plans. Her goal is to help clients become financial secure.

Karen's local charity of choice is the Single Parents Association of NL (SPAN). She is a strong believer in giving people a hand up, not a hand out. The objective of SPAN is to provide supports for single parents, enabling them to regain control over their lives for the empowerment of themselves and their children. Their core mandate aligns with her core values in a most purposeful way.

Your values create your internal compass that can navigate how you make decisions in your life. If you compromise your core values you go nowhere.
